No dashboard to learn. No staging copy to reconcile. They open the page, sign in, and edit it where it stands. Canopy is the website piece of Hospitality Ground Control, so the menu on the site is the café's real menu and an online order lands in the kitchen.

The editor wraps the real page. Dark green outlines a layer, light green a container, and the tab above each one is where you drag, hide or open its settings.

WHY IT IS DIFFERENT

Most site builders are aimed at whoever builds the site once. Canopy is aimed at whoever still has it a year later.

There is no separate studio URL. /about-us is the About page; sign in and the same URL becomes its editor, with the real layout underneath.

Every change saves as a private draft. Publishing is a deliberate, reviewable step, and every published version is kept and restorable.

Columns stack, padding tightens, type scales, the menu becomes a hamburger. Your client cannot accidentally ship a desktop-only page.

Shared layers exist once and appear on every page. Locked by default so nobody edits the header by accident.

A form knows its own shape from the published page, so a posted field it has never heard of is simply not read. Spam protection needs no third party.

First-party, cookieless visitor numbers. Nothing shared with an ad network, and nothing to put a consent banner in front of.

Corners, weights and shadows come from the site's theme unless an author set them, so switching a theme restyles every component at once.

Upload plain HTML and it becomes a template: sections to layers, headers and footers to shared layers, forms wired up, colours and type read into the theme.

Templates, components, sites and releases are managed in the hub console, and every café's site pulls from it.

WORKS WITH CAFEMS

Canopy reserves a fourth tab in the component palette for CafeMS. Components published to the hub appear there on every site that is entitled to them — dragged onto the page like a heading, not pasted in as an embed code.

Canopy comes with Hospitality Ground Control: provisioned with the café's register and back office, hosted on the same estate, and edited by the people who run the place. Give them the keys.
